Private Jevons formerly of 18, Auckland road, Mexboro’, was severely wounded in the battle of Cambrai, and is now in the Royal Infirmary at Manchester, having suffered the amputation of his right leg below the knee.

He joined the Army in January, 1916, and was wounded in the Somme fighting of July 1, 1916. Before enlistment he was the pianist at the Royal Electric Picture House, Bank street, Mexboro’.

He is 30 years of age, and was married shortly before enlistment. His wife lives in Leeds.
