Pte. Charles Sowden,(picture, right) West Yorks, 45, Pitt-street, Mexborough, who has been serving since October, 1914, has been wounded in the arm, and is  now in the Beckett. Hospital, Leeds.

His brother, Pte. Sydney Sowdon (picture, left) (West Yorks.), 27, Schofield Street, Mexborough was wounded in the back on April 22, and is now in the Red Cross Hospital, Bournemouth,

He enlisted in January, 1917 and was formerly employed at  Manvers Main
