Railmen Join Up

Two Mexborough men, Mr. Fred Smith, 8, Phoenix Street, and Mr. Cyril Bisby, H. Chaucer Road, have joined the Railway Ordnance Depot, and expect to go overseas shortly.

Both are drivers on the London and North Eastern Railway. Mr. Smith has seen 25 years’ service with the Company. Mr. Bisby has been a railwaymen for about 20 years. Both have been loco driving for about two years.

Both are members of the Mexborough Gleemen’s Choir.
