Soldiers – Robinson Brothers – One in Hospital from Wounds & Gas poisoning

Mexborough Robinson Brothers

Mr and Mrs Arthur Robinson of 80 Frederick St, Mexborough have three sons serving.

The oldest private Ernest Robinson (picture, left) aged 24, has been in the army over 12 months and is at present in Salonika, with the South Wales Borderers.

The second son Able Seaman Albert Robinson (picture, centre), aged 22, Hawk battalion,.and did, joined the Navy in September 1914 and is at present in hospital in Lincoln, having been admitted on March 13, suffering from wounds and gas poisoning.

He had been wounded thrice previously, once in Gallipoli and twice in France.

The youngest son Private Ralph Robinson (picture, right), aged 20, joined the Somerset Light Infantry in October 1916, and is at present in Egypt
