Pte. Horace Hepworth, East Yorks, of 4, Kirby street, Mexboro’, has been missing since April 24, and’ his wife would be grateful for any intelligence of him.
Pte. Cyril Stables, Lincolnshire Regt., only son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Stables, 1, Harlington lane, Mexboro, reported missing in March, is now officially reported to be a prisoner of war.
Prior to joining he was an assistant in the grocery department of the Adwick road branch of the Barnsley British Co-operative Society.
Pbe. W. Cutts (T.M.B., West Yorks), who lived with his sister, Mrs. J. H. Brookes, 17, York street, Mexboro’, is reported missing from April 25. He enlisted in July, 1915, and has served over two years in France. Before enlistment he was employed on the Great Central Railway at Mexboro’, in the carriage and waggon department.
Pte. J. W. Gibson (K.O.Y.L.I.), of. Garden-street, Mexboro’, recently reported missing, is a prisoner in German hands.
Cpl. George R. Radley (Y.. and L.), son of Mr. Harry Radley, of Mexboro’, is in hospital at Dewsbury, suffering from effects of gas poisoning.
