The three sons of Mr. Herbert Bendelow, of Adwick load, Mexboro’, are serving with the Forces of the Allies.

The eldest, John, emigrated to Canada some years ago, and moving into the United States became an American citizen and, until he joined the American Army was doing well at his trade, ornamental plastering. He is, 27, and a citizen of Portland, Oregon. He is now in training quarters in New York.

Laurence was in training to be an engineer, and was on the staff of the Parkgate Iron and Steel works. He is now a. second-lieutenant in the Royal Air Force, and stationed at New Romney. Rent.

Percy has seen active service as a sapper in the Royal Engineers. He was buried and shellshocked in France in 1916, and since then has qualified for a commission in the Royal Engineers.

The father of those boys, an old Mexboroughite, represents the Reserve Forces, for he served for some time as a sergeant in the local Volunteers.
