Prisoner of War

Sapper John Henry Woosey (20), second son of Mr and Mrs Peter Woosey, seven Milton Road, Mexborough, is a prisoner of war in Germany.

Five months have elapsed since his parents lasted for me, is last B received it on May 27.

He was born in Mexborough and educated at the Doll Cliff Road school.

Before joining the Royal Engineers of the outbreak of war he was a bricklayer.

He went to France in June and information that he was a prisoner of war was received this week.

The communication intimated that he was in good health.

His brother, Thomas Woosey is also in the Royal Engineers
