First Class Cook

Pte. H. Wileman (39), formerly employed underground at Cadeby Main colliery and whose home address is 33, Cross Gate, Mexborough has been in North Africa since October.

He enjoys his duties as a first class cook. He has sent home fruit, both fresh and dried, which has been received by his wife in excellent condition.

His letters home reveal his good spirits, and he says reading the “South Yorkshire Times” brings back memories of Mexborough.

Pte. Wileman has had two years service.
