Wounded At Antwerp

Trooper Raymond Waddington (20), R.A.C., eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Waddington, 57, Clayfield Road, Mexborough, has been wounded in the right side by shrapnel and is now in hospital in Worcester. He is improving.

Tpr. Waddington went to Normandy a week after D-Day and has been in the Army for 2 years, before which he was an assistant in the Denaby Main Industrial Co-operative grocery shop at Denaby and a member of the Home Guard at Denaby.
