Missing
Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Taylor, of 8, Cowper Road, Mexborough were informed on Friday that their only son, Pte. George William Johnson Taylor, was posted missing on Feb 16th, in the Central Mediterranean area.
Pte. Taylor who celebrated his 21st birthday a few weeks ago, has only been abroad a few months. He is an old boy of Mexborough Secondary School, and was studying for his teaching certificate at Cheltenham College when he was called up.
He was in the Home Guard when he enlisted.
