Mexborough Boxer Hurt

“Tommy” Stokes, (R.F.A.), the well-known Mexborough Boxer, writes to inform us that he is in Magdalen Hospital, Winchester, as a result of injuries in an accident with a horse.

He says: “I got mixed up with a horse weighing a ton. In my best boxing days it never bothered me to give a stone or two away, but this time I tried to give too much and had to give him best at the finish.
