Long Service

Bandsman M. V. Steele, of 30, Lower Dolcliffe Road, Mexborough, who was called up as a Territorial on the outbreak of war, has had about 17 years’ Army service dating from 1917.

He has served with the Queen’s Own Regiment, the Cameron Highlanders, the York and Lancaster Regiment and the Royal Artillery, and is now back with the Camerons.

He has played in the bands of all these regiments and is at present stationed in the North.

He is married and has five children.
