Private Severn, 40, Church St, Mexborough, is in Netley hospital with severe burns inflicted by liquid flame.

He had been previously wounded, in July 1916. He is married, and before enlistment in August 1914, he was employed at Denaby Main.

A brother, Private Henry Severn, is with the Forces.
