Mexborough Military Medallist.

Pte. E. Robins, Y. and L., of Mexboro’, has been awarded the Military Medal.

Second-Lieutenant F. L. Stevens, of Mexboro writes :—” A terrible barrage had been I directed upon one of our sidings, and a train carrying rations for the R.F.A. received a direct hit.

Some of our platoon went with my stretcher-bearers to carry out rescue work, all of which was completed under terrific shell fire. I was advised to recommend them for bravery and did so. They have all received the Military Medal.

One was a Mexboro’ man, Pte. E. Robins.”
