Rifleman Horace Phillips, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Sam Phillips, 37 Harlington Ln, Mexborough, is officially reported missing from March 21-27.

He is 13 years of age, and has been serving since October, 1940.

He enlisted originally as a driver in the A.S.C., M.T., and went to France in July, 1915, being transferred to the K.R.R.C. last October.

Before enlistment he. Was employed by Mr. M. Hulse, grocer, Doncaster road, Mexboro’.

A younger brother, Pte. Ernest. Phillips (Y. and L.) is with the Salonika Forces.
