Lance Corporal Pepper, 6 Auckland Rd, Mexborough was invalided home in August, suffering from a bullet wound and pleurisy.

He was recently discharged from the Lily Lane, Hospital, Manchester, and is now home on sick leave.

He returns to his depot on Saturday.

Before enlistment he was a fitter’s assistant at the G.C.R.Plant Works, Mexborough.

Col Pepper has four brothers serving.
