Sapper Missing.

A former Mexborough man, now living at Halifax, has been reported missing.

He is Sapper Harry Overend (27), son of Mrs. and the late Mr. G. Overend and was born at 15, Wilson Street, Mexborough.

He was employed at the Manvers Main Colliery and later removed to Halifax.

Sapper Overend joined the Territorials last year and was called up at the outbreak of war. He is married and has one son.

One of his brothers was invalided out of the Army last November and died in a Halifax hospital, while another was killed in the last war.
