Lance Corporal O’Brien, 13, Orchard Street., Mexborough enlisted nine months ago, and went to France on Oct. 10.

He was shot in the leg on Nov. 22 during the recent advance, and is now in ‘hospital at Devon, doing well.

He is a -married man with four children; and his only brother, Pte. Chas. O’Brien (K.O.Y.L.I.) was killed in action last May. Their father, Mr. Wm. O’Brien, of Grimethorpe, formerly lived in Mexboro’.
