Three Out Of Seven

Out of a family of seven Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Nicholson, of 62, Carlisle Street, Mexborough, have three sons serving with H.M. Forces.

Corporal Eli Thomas Nicholson, the eldest, has served twelve years and has seen service in Bermuda, Egypt and India as a Bandsman in the West Yorks. Regiment. He is at present serving in England.

Driver John William Nicholson is serving somewhere in France with an anti-aircraft battery. Before enlistment he worked at Denaby Colliery (deep seam), as a coal cutter.

The youngest son serving is Driver Edmund Lawrence Nicholson. He is with the R.A.S.C. as a despatch rider with a field ambulance somewhere in France. Before enlistment he worked on the L.M.S. Railway as a fireman. All three write very cheerful letters home to their parents.
