Commissioned
A commission has been granted to Jack Morley (20), younger son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Morley, of Adwick Road, Mexborough. Sec.-Lieut. Morley, who is with the York and Lancaster Regiment in this country, volunteered for service in the Army when only 17½ years of age.
He was educated at Mexborough Secondary School, and worked with his father at Messrs, David Haigh’s shop in Main Street, Mexborough, before enlisting.
His father is President of the Mexborough branch of the British Legion, and his brother, L/Ac. George Morley has been in the R.A.F. for four years.
