Private Marr eldest son of Mt. and Mrs. P.Marr 11, Sarah St., Mexboro has been killed in action.

He was 19 years of age, and enlisted at the age of 16, but returned to his civil occupation at Manvers Main, rejoining the colours in March, 1917.

He was killed eight days after landing in France.

He was interested in the friendly-society movement, and was an officer of the “Watson’s Delight Lodge, Mexborough (Order of ‘Druids, Rotherham Equalised District).
