Pte. G. L. Monkman
York and Lancaster

Private Monkman formerly a member of the printing staff of the “Mexborough and Swinton Times,” has been wounded a second time, and was admitted to a hospital France on Dec. 19.

He has undergone an operation to his leg, and is making excellent progress.

He writes: we have had a very rough handling but we have got the Germans well in hand, and our boys always prove top-dog.”
