Still a Butcher
Private Gordon Mitchell, who celebrated his 22nd birthday on Monday while serving with the B.N.A.F., is still carrying on his peace-time trade as a butcher with the R.A.S.C.
Pte. Mithell is the son of Mrs. Connell of 19, Byron Road, Mexborough and from leaving school until joining up 2½ years ago, was assistant to Mr. H. G. Constable, butcher, of Mexborough. He was formerly in the Home Guard.
Before going to North Africa, he had gained third and second class certificates for butchering. His sister, Pte, Constance Allan, is in the A.T.S.
