Chemist a Prisoner

Trooper Albert (” Johnny “) Mangham, R.A.C., of 4, Ruskin Road, Mexborough, was on Wednesday officially reported a prisoner of war in Italian hands.

He had been reported missing in the Middle East, where he had been stationed since March, on June 4th.

Tpr. Mangham joined the Army a year ago and in civil life was a chemist employed In Sheffield.

An old student of Mexborough Secondary School, he served his apprenticeship with Mr. D. M. Sinclair, of Mexborough.
