Missing.

Official intimation has been given by the War Office to Mrs. J. C. Lee, 24, Queen’s Terrace, Mexborough, that her husband, Gnr. J. C. Lee (31) has been posted missing in the Middle East.

Gnr. Lee, who is a son of Mr. and Mrs. G, Lee, of Woodhouse, formerly well known Mexborough business people, joined the R.A. in July, 1940, and was drafted overseas in Jan., 1941.

Prior to joining up he was a clerk with the Amalgamated Denaby Colliery Company.

Gnr. Lee’s brother, the Rev. Harry Lee, is now a curate at Woodhouse Parish Church. Another brother, L/Cpl. Claude W. Lee, is serving in the Middle East with the R.A.O.C.
