Good News.

Good news of their only son, Pte. George Lee (23), has been received this week by Mr, and Mrs. W. Lee, 25, Cowper Road, Mexborough. Pte. Lee was reported missing in June last year. after Singapore, and since then no news had been received of him until Monday, when his parents received a postcard, stating:

“I am a prisoner of war. Quite well and healthy. Hope everyone at home is keeping in the best of health and spirits. Do not worry. I hope it will not be long before I am back with you again. Remember me to all my friends. Fondest love, George.

Private Lee, who joined up in 1939, was in the R.A.M.C. He was drafted abroad in October, 1941. His father is Market Inspector in Mexborough.
