Pte. Thomas Fletcher (T. and L.), 91, Market street, Mexboro’ is in hospital in Manchester suffering from bullet wounds in the left arm. He has been four years in the Army and once previously wounded.

He writes that in the recent “push” he never had his clothes off for three weeks, and they were fighting night and day, sleeping in snatches when and where they could, “but” he adds, “we killed many thousands of Germans.”
