Reported Missing

News was received by his relatives on Saturday that Signalman Edward Jevons (26), youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Jevons, 22, Byron Road, Mexborough, was reported missing on November 20th and is presumably a prisoner.

Sig. Jevons married at Easter, 1940, Miss Ethel Linneker, of Mexborough. A native of Mexborough, S i g . Jevons is an old boy of Mexborough Seconday School, was trained at a Birmingham College and before joining up taught at Swinton Fitzwilliam Council School. He previously taught at Adwick Road School and at Brampton Bierlow Senior School.

Sig. Jevons was drafted to the Middle East in March.
