Mexborough – Prisoner in Germany
Mrs Ingram, 59 Kirby St, Mexborough, a widow with eight children, has been notified through a prisoner of war organisation in London, that her son, Private Arthur Ingham (York and Lancaster) who has been missing since April 21, 1917, is a prisoner of war in Lemberg, Germany.
He is not quite 19, and enlisted nearly 3 years ago, been formally employed as a pony driver at Manvers Main.
He is to receive, through the committee referred to, three parcels (each valued at 6/-) fortnightly, containing 9 lbs of bread and ultimately cigarettes and tobacco
