Policeman In India

Sgt. John Richard Ibbotson (27), of 8, Sarah Street, Mexborough, is serving with the Corps of Military Police in India, where he has been for about a year.

The nature of his duties takes him to many places and he is seeing more of the country than the average soldier.

Sgt. Ibbotson is the only son of Mr. A. Ibbotson of High Street, Wath and the late Mrs. Ibbotson and he himself is a native of Wath. Before joining up four years ago he worked as a transport driver at Hathersage.  He is married.
