Eight Years Abroad

Sergeant Arthur Hodgkin (29), son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hodgkin, of Flowitt Street, Mexborough, is home on 14 days leave after eight years continuous service overseas. Sergeant Hodgkin, who is staying with his brother at 137 Wath Road, Mexborough, has seen service in Malta, India, Iraq, Palestine and Persia.

He volunteered in January, 1935, and was in Iraq in May, 1941, when there was considerable fighting.

Both his parents have died while he has been abroad.
