Serving in India with the Royal field Artillery is Gunner John Norwood Hemingway (24), eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. N. Hemingway, 16, Helena Street, Mexborough.

He went abroad a year ago after serving 24 years in this country. His letters are cheerful.

Gunner Hemingway attended Dolcliffe Road School. He wishes to be remembered to his many Mexborough friends.
