Son of Mr JF Heald, book dealer, of High St, Mexborough, is in the first Southern General  Hospital Birmingham, with septic poisoning in the legs, and is making satisfactory progress.

He enlisted 15 months ago, and during his five-month service in France has seen some heavy fighting
