Lance Corporal Walter Hare

Lance Corporal Hare of 50 Hartley street, Mexboro’, son. of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hare, was killed in action in France on December 15.
He was single, aged 24, and before enlistment in March, 1915, was employed at the Kilnhurst Steel Works.
His parents have received letters from the Front stating that their son was engaged in digging the grave of an officer when a shell came and killed him instantly. He was buried in the grave he had been engaged in digging. He was wounded about a year ago.
