Driver Geo. Ford aged 21, of 30, Chapel Street. Wath Road, Mexborough, son of Mrs. Hatfield and the late Mr. Frank Ford, is serving with the British Expeditionary Force.

He was formerly employed at Dale Brown’s, Swinton, and was among the first batch of soldiers to be sent overseas.

His father served for a number of years in India, and fought in the Boer War.
