30, York Street, Mexborough, who a short time ago was officially reported killed in action, has now written from Ras el Ain, Turkey, to say he is a prisoner of war and quite well.

He enlisted in October 1914 and had been in Mesopotamia since March 1916.

He is a married man with two children, and prior to enlistment was employed at Wath Main.
