Private Eccles, son of Mr and Mrs. Charles Eccles, 8, Raikes street, Mexboro’, has been wounded in the leg, and is at present in hospital in Eastleigh, Hampshire.

He is 23, single and has been serving four years.

Before enlistment he was employed at the G.C.Locomotive Depot, Mexborough.

He has been in France 3 ½ years.

Two brothers, Thomas and George, are serving in France.
