9, Melton street, Mexboro’, who has been missing since March 4, 1917, is now officially reported killed on that date.

He enlisted in the Navy in Sept., 1914, but was later discharged. He joined the Army in August, 1915, and went to France in October, 1916. He was aged 22, and before enlistment worked-as a miner at Denaby Main.

He had two brothers serving, Gunner Harry, Durham (R.F.A.), aged 24, in Egypt, and Pte. William Durham (Sherwood Foresters), aged 19. in France.
