Serving in Ceylon 

A former miner Gunner Thomas Henry Dryden (32), of 20, West Road, Mexborough, has been in Ceylon for 18 months.

He joined the Army nearly three years ago and formerly worked at Kilnhurst Colliery. 

He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Dryden, of Frederick Street, Mexborough. Gunner Dryden is married and has one son.
