Mexborough – Died of Bronchitis

Pte. Walter Davies, late of the 6th Garrison Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, whose home was at Park road, Meaboro’, has died of bronchitis, shortly after being discharged from the Army.

He enlisted in Oct., 1915, and saw service in France, Egypt, and Malta. In 1916 he was rescued from the torpedoed transport Cameronia, in the Mediterranean.
He was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Davies.
