13, Clifton Street, Mexborough, who was reported wounded and missing on April 11, is now officially reported killed on that date. Before enlistment in June 1916, he was employed as a cab driver by J.H.White, funeral director, Mexborough.

He went to France in December 1916, and fell in the battle of Arras. He was 37 years of age and leaves a widow and four children.
