Tribute to Mexborough

In a letter home L/Bdr. A. E. Cutler (28), of 107b, Market Street, Mexborough, says that somewhere in the Middle East he met a soldier from the South of England who was for some time stationed in Mexborough, and described his stay there as “the finest time of his life.”

L/Bdr. Cutler was employed at Baker and Bessemer’s before joining the Forces in June, 1939. He is a talented musician.

For the past 18 months he has been in the Middle East.
