Signalman L. Cater. son of Mr. and Mrs. L Cater, of Water Works House, Mexborough, is at present serving “somewhere in England.”

Signalman Cater, who is 21, was educated at Doncaster Road Schools, and was formerly a fireman employed by the LN.E.R.

He was an enthusiastic fisherman. He thinks Army life very interesting, especially his own branch. He has passed everything in signalling, and is now training as a despatch rider and transport driver.
