J. H. Brookes (25), only son of Mr. and Mrs. Brookes, of 30, Garden Street, Mexborough, has been in the R.A.S.C. for 11 months, and is now abroad.

Born in Mexborough, he attended Garden Street School, and later worked at Messrs. Green’s Engineering Works, Rotherham.
