Serving overseas is Lance Sergt. Cyril Bennett, aged 24, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Bennett, 24, Wood Street, Mexborough. He has been in the Army two and a half years and has served in Palestine.

Before enlisting he was employed at Denaby Main Colliery. He attended Adwick Road School.
