Private Batty of 14 Hartley Street, Mexborough, has been invalided from Mesopotamia to India to undergo an operation.

He enlisted in September 1915, has seen 14 months of active service.

He is a single man, 22 years of age, and prior to the war worked at Manvers Main Colliery.
