At Tobruk

Driver George Banks R.A. (23), son of Mrs. R. Banks, 3, Cliff Street, Mexborough, was called up with the first batch of Militia in July, 1939.

He was stationed at Dover until last December, and then went to the Middle East.

After being in the fighting for Tobruk he was one of the garrison who held it through the siege.

He Is engaged to Miss Florrie Hague, of Mexborough.
