Prisoner of Japanese

First news of her husband since he was reported missing in Malaya in Feb.1941, has been received by Mrs. Agus of 20, Chapel Street, Roman Terrace.

Her husband Signalman Charles Agus (40) is reported to be a prisoner of the Japanese.

Formerly a collier at Warren Vale, Sig. Agus volunteered for the Army in December 1939 and had been abroad 2½ years.  He had been in the Army before going to work at Warren Vale, having seven years’ service in India.
