A Smart Young Goalkeeper

John George Nettleton is a goalkeeper of the Mexborough Old Boys team in the 16 to 18 year section of the new Mexborough Intermediate competition, which was inaugurated last season.

Mexborough Old Boys were the first winners of the championship but in the last matches Nettleton was prevented from playing by illness.

It was a great disappointment for him, but he will probably get another chance next season.

We published a photograph of the team, but Nettleton was not in the group.
