Mexborough and Swinton Times January 13, 1928

A party of Mexborough shop assistants, managers and their friends had an enjoyable outing to Leeds last Thursday.

They travelled by motor-‘bus, and in the afternoon visited the works of Montague Burton, Ltd., The party were entertained to tea, and speeches of welcome were made by Mr. A. W. Roberts, Mr. J. Harrison, and Mr. Lawrence. Mr. Terry responded for the party, who afterwards visited a local theatre.
